Job Description

Job Summary

The Global Citizen Education Group is seeking someone with strong expertise in teaching introductory international relations and diplomacy courses. The trainer should have a strong academic background in diplomacy, international relations, international studies, international development, or international law. Candidates with a background in political science, public policy, law, history, or other social sciences will be considered, provided they have relevant experience. The trainer should have good English proficiency and at least 1 year of teaching experience. The trainer will be conducting lessons with materials provided by The Global Citizen Education Group. This position is based in Hanoi, and trainers are expected to travel for on-site training programs. The terms of engagement and remuneration will be on a per-program basis. Trainers would work as freelancers, reside in Hanoi, and have at least an undergraduate degree from a recognized school from the World Higher Education Database.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging training sessions for students based on the curriculum developed by The Global Citizen Education Group.
• Provide feedback on students’ performance and behaviour periodically.
• Execute classroom management for small group lessons.
• Tailor teaching methods and content to accommodate the diverse learning needs and interests of students.

Requirements

• At least pursuing an undergraduate degree from an accredited school in the IAU WHED. 
• Good command of the English language.
• Preferably 2 years of relevant teaching experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Professional and able to work independently.
• Passionate about teaching.
• At least 2 years of experience in MUN or similar activities. 
• Candidates with experience as a Chair, part of the Content Department, or Organizing Team would be preferred.
• For the online positions, we will not be recruiting candidates based in Hanoi at the moment.
• Strong internet connection.

Recognised English Qualifications

The language certificate requirement can be waived if the candidate’s previous studies were conducted in English (Transcripts will need to be provided).
