Teaching and learning are a core part of our business. But while we look for the best, we also value humility, professionalism and a strong sense of community. Coaches are our prized ambassadors who work with our students, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge. Most importantly, they are our role models for the future leaders of tomorrow. In sum, they teach, mentor and lead by example.
Interest applicants should have notable experience in any of the following programs:
Model United Nations or Model ASEAN,
Odyssey of the Mind,
Public Speaking, or
World Scholar’s Cup.
Regardless of experience, we provide all coaches in-house training and certification so as to ensure the highest standards of quality control. Coaches should also ideally be living in Vietnam.
Figuring out what you want to do in the future is daunting and we understand. Hence, internships! We offer a range of internships during the summer and winter seasons for young adults to immerse themselves in our world of professional education. Through which, interns learn more about themselves and whether they are a good fit for our social enterprise, and vice versa.
Internship offerings and vacancies open every March and October so check back for more information. Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook or to subscribe to our mailing list to receive our latest news.
As a social enterprise, The Global Citizen Vietnam is proud to champion non-profit initiatives which build and contribute to the communities that we are a part of. Therefore, we are also always on the lookout for volunteers who share our same vision and cause.
We release information about volunteers as and when we are working in different initiatives. So check regularly for more information, or follow us on Facebook and subscribe to our mailing list for the latest volunteer opportunities.
My internship at TGC Vietnam was an extremely rewarded journey of both professional and personal growth. It was not one of getting coffee or making copies, but I was encouraged to truly get involved and immersed in the company’s growth. Under the guidance of my phenomenal supervisors, I had the chance to learn about the inner workings of a social enterprise and undertake a wide range of tasks in various departments, ranging from business development, to market research and content creation. Above all, as someone who has benefited from the transformative power of debate and its related skills, I felt lucky to have been able to help make co-curricular education more accessible to students in Vietnam.
Interning at TGC was full of surprises and fun, as I could never expect what I would be tasked with next. Their start-up environment was also incredibly active and engaging, as my ideas were heard and encouraged. I was challenged on a daily basis, with a wide range of albeit challenging assignments. From contributing to their social media efforts, to undertaking independent market researching, learning about customer service, or assisting in translation or event logistics, it was a great learning opportunity. Not to mention, I got to the chance to design their office in Vietnam. I absolutely enjoyed how I was trusted by my superiors and had freedom to carry out my tasks.
It was also amazing whenever I got the chance to share with people the life-changing work we did at TGC, teaching concepts such as debate, global citizenship and creative problem solving. All of which I believe bring about crucial and beneficial skill sets, that are relatively new to Vietnam and to its knowledge-hungry students.
