Herbin Chia

I subscribe to the notion posited by authors Andrew Scott and Lynda Gratton in their book, “The 100 Year Life.” This is a future where we experience multiple education-work-retirement (EWR) cycles throughout our lives. After a 20 year career in corporate planning, organization and business transformation across Asia, I am taking on my 2nd EWR cycle. With the experience gained from my 1st EWR cycle, I now focus on looking at sustainable business propositions and on building a start-up in the sustainable materials space. I am a lifelong learner and embrace two-way learning with people from diverse backgrounds to gain novel insights and inspire new ideas. I enjoy the tranquillity of swimming laps in the pool and being a slave to my rescued community cat, Willow. And I love good food that is shared with good company – which is why I need to swim.

Sandesh Shetty

After spending 16 years in Education working from Academic to professional learning handling new initiatives and projects to scale, I believe in Nelson Mandel’s quote that “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” After leaving MDIS in 2018 as International Business Executive, went on to co-found Explico an online assessment and learning platform that uses AI to determine students weakness and strength using different learning parameters. The fast-paced world and technology are constantly interfering in our day-to-day life it’s important that Education starts adapting technology to become their ally. I still believe teachers are and will always be the important pillar in delivering Education which can never be replaced but technology can play a strong support system. The early part of my career included a short job with ABN AMRO bank and then a shift to Education sector in 2002 since then had the opportunity of working with University Education, EdTech companies, and Government in setting up, establishing, and executing various Education projects. With Explico our vision is to make a platform for students from different regions to a single co-existing learning environment where all the stakeholders can measure their learning objectives regularly.
